Programs
NCAC offers a wide range of swimming programs to promote growth and development in a fun, goal oriented and fun environment. The new 2009 Program overviews and guidelines are listed below.

DS: Development Squad
This is our development squad and we encourage swimmers through positive reinforcement. This squad works with swimmers who are able to float on their front and back. Swim 25yrds of any stroke. Play comfortably above and below the water and have the ability to jump into the water feet first.
- 2 sessions per week
- No time standards are required
- Session duration 1hr

JS: Junior Squad
This squad is the second level in NCAC swimmer development. The focus is on technique and all four strokes are developed. A swimmer needs to have the basic knowledge of each stroke have the ability to kick all 4 strokes to gain entry in this squad.
- 3-4 sessions per week / Saturday morning optional
- IMX “B” standard times
- Session duration 1hr 15min

PSS: Pre Senior Squad
This squad is designed to develop each swimmer in technique and speed. All disciplines of swimming will be worked so that each athlete is well educated and has the ability to swim at a predetermined standard in each stroke.
- Regional Qualifiers / Age Group
- Min 4-5 sessions per week / 1 morning + Saturday optional
- IMX “BB” standard times
- Session length 1hr 30min

SS: Senior Squad
This squad is designed for all swimmers who will be competing at a high standard of competition and who want to improve and be challenged. Technique is still a focus but we start to look at each athlete’s stronger strokes and work on developing these to the next level.
- Age group Qualifiers, Sectionals, Nationals
- 5-8 sessions per week / + Saturday morning
- Training in all events and starting to focus on 1-3 strokes
- Dryland training 2-3 sessions per week
- IMX “ A-AA” standard times
- Session duration 2hrs + stretching
