Head Coach Dorsi Raynolds NCAC is thrilled to welcome back to the Upper Valley, Dorsi Raynolds. Dorsi has a Masters of Education degree in Sports Psychology from Boston University as well as a Bachelor's in Physical Education and Teaching Degree from Ithaca College. While attending Ithaca College, Dorsi was a 16-time All-American, a four-time state champion in butterfly, and the New York State record holder in the 50 fly. She graduated with school records in the 100 and 50 fly, and the top three in five additional events. The two-time captain helped guide the Bombers to four straight SUNYAC titles and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame.
Dorsi’s 20 plus years of coaching experience include the position of Men’s and Women’s Head Swimming coach at Drew University, where she also held the position of aquatics director. Dorsi not only doubled the size of the swim program at Drew but also improved the overall standing of the team. Prior to heading the Drew University programs, Dorsi served as the head women’s swimming and diving coach at the University at Buffalo, where she led the Bulls to five Mid-Continent Conference championship titles and qualified 20 swimmers for nationals. In her 13-year tenure at Buffalo, Raynolds received three coach-of-the-year titles and led 58 student-athletes to first-team all-conference honors. She left the University at Buffalo as its all-time winningest women’s swim coach.
Her team soared academically, boasting 26 consecutive semesters of a 3.5 GPA or higher which garnered honors by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The squad ranked #1 in the nation among all Division I swimming programs and had a 100 percent Academic Progress Rate (APR).
Raynolds also served as the assistant swimming coach at Northern Michigan University where she helped guide the Wildcats to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and 2nd place in Division II. While pursuing her Masters in Education and Sports Psychology at Boston University, Raynolds assisted the swim team and helped guide them to two Northeast Athletic Conference Championships. Prior to B.U. she served as the head swimming and soccer coach at Wells College from 1985-88.
A member of the College Swim Coaches Association of America, Raynolds was a clinician on mindfullness training at the CSCAA convention, while also serving as a three-year faculty member at the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy. She also belongs to the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) and the National Association for Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA).
Head Age Group Coach Signe Mooney Signe Mooney will head up
our developmental and junior programs at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center(UVAC) in Hartford, VT. Signe graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2006 with a
degree in exercise and sport science. She has achieved American Swim
Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 2 certification and is a Level 1
certified instructor in Resist-a-ball stability core training. Signe is
a lifelong competitive swimmer who completed her four-year swimming
career at Colby-Sawyer College as captain of the team. She holds seven
individual college swim records, was a member of five record-holding
relay teams, and was MVP twice in her college career. She has been an
age group coach since 2002 in New Hampshire and an Assistant Coach for
the Colby-Sawyer College Swim Team since 2007. swim
Kelly Voelk will assist with the developmental and junior squads at UVAC . Kelly is an alumnus of NCAC who last competed with NCAC in 2000. She currently works for The Valley News and is looking forward to being on the pool deck once again. She says that she is excited about giving back to the club that taught her so much about swimming and life lessons.assist
